CT
(Computed Tomography)
A
Computed Tomography (CT) Scan, also called a CAT scan, uses x-rays
and a computer to create cross-section images of your spine or brain.
A critical diagnostic tool, a CT allows your physician to view your
spine or brain in “slices.” It may or may not be performed with a
dye injected into your bloodstream.
MRI
(Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
Magnetic
Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses radiofrequency waves and a strong
magnetic field to provide clear and detailed pictures of internal
organs and tissues. This technique greatly enhances diagnostic
capabilities for a broad range of conditions including cancer, heart
and vascular disease, stroke, and musculoskeletal disorders.
X-RAY
Most
x-rays are available on a walk-in basis within the same extended
hours of our Urgent Care. You can be assured that all imaging staff
are highly trained, Oregon Licensed, American Registry of Radiologic
Technology (ARRT) registered technologists.
DIGITAL
MAMMOGRAPHY
Accurate
digital mammography depends on state-of-the-art technology and expert
handling. Our Mammography Department operates under the most
stringent standards to ensure the most accurate diagnoses. Our
technicians hold advanced certifications and are required to attend
continuing education courses to stay current with the latest
techniques. All of our mammograms are read and interpreted by a
board-certified radiologist.
CAD
(Computer Aided Detection)
This
leading edge diagnostic tool helps radiologists accurately detect
abnormalities in a mammogram.
ULTRASOUND
Ultrasounds
are vital for diagnosing aliments of the abdomen, pelvis, kidney,
thyroid, and other soft tissue. All of our ultrasound technicians are
certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
(ARDMS).
BONE
DENSITOMETRY
Often
called a DEXA Scan, this test is an important tool to help your
physician measure the density of your bones and determine your risk
for osteoporosis and fractures.
