Established in 1996, the Clinical Research Department at Bend Memorial Clinic conducts FDA approved pharmaceutical sponsored clinical drug, device and vaccine trials. The well-qualified Clinical Research staff works closely with patients and physicians to collect data and to assess the safety and efficacy of investigational new drugs and treatments.
The mission of the Clinical Research Department, at Bend Memorial Clinic, is to offer state-of-the-art medical treatment to patients and to provide Physicians an opportunity to pursue their scientific interests. The Clinical Research Department conducts pharmaceutical trials within the guidelines and regulations of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and in keeping with good clinical practices (GCPs).
The team oriented and well-trained staff is committed to provide safe, honest and compassionate care to study participants in the course of collecting data and to assess the safety and efficacy of investigational drugs and treatments as directed by pharmaceutical sponsors. Bend Memorial Clinic Research promotes patient service, teamwork, education and continued growth.
Research volunteers benefit from participating in clinical trials by receiving at no cost, frequent medical care, diagnostic procedures and study medication/treatment. Research volunteers also have an opportunity to contribute to the growing body of medical knowledge that will help identify tomorrow’s cures.
