Travel Medicine

Forget pre-travel vaccinations and prescriptions, and you could get more than just home sick. Political upheaval, economic hardship and warm, wet climates create conditions for the proliferation of serious diseases. If your travel plans include a trip to a tropical location or Third World nation, schedule a pre-travel screeningat least three months before going abroad. Our travel medicine specialists will assess your health, provide information about preventing and avoiding disease based on where you’re going and what you’ll be doing, and—if necessary—prescribe medications and administer vaccinations. Call 382-4900 to schedule an appointment.
