The Pulmonary and Critical Care Department provides comprehensive care for patients suffering from lung disease. The physicians are skilled in the diagnosis and management of lung diseases including:

  • Asthma
  • Emphysema
  • Pneumonia
  • Pulmonary Fibrosis
  • Sleep Disorders
  • The evaluation of symptoms of cough, chest pain and breathlessness.

The pulmonologists are responsible for much of the care including:

  • Comprehensive lung function testing
  • Exercise testing
  • Bronchoscopy
  • Evaluation of sleep disorders at the High Desert Sleep Disorder Center in Bend
Pediatric lung care and Pediatric Sleep Disorder Management are provided upon referral.

Eric Dildine, PA

Eric joined Bend Memorial Clinic in 2006. Mr. Dildine attended the Associates of Arts Rogue Community College as well as MEDEX Northwest Physician Asssistant Program, University of Washington School of Medicine.

Keith W. Harless, MD

Dr. Harless specializes in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine and has been at Bend Memorial Clinic since 1977. Dr. Harless graduated from University of Oregon Medical School in 1972, completed his internal medicine residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1975 and received his fellowship at University of Utah in 1977. Since 1981, he has been the course director for the OHSU senior medical student critical care elective at St. Charles and is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine for the Oregon Health Sciences University. He is also the Medical Director of the Clinic’s research department. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine for Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care and Internal Medicine.

Thomas R. Murphy, MD

Dr. Murphy joined Bend Memorial Clinic in 2005 and specializes in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Murphy graduated from the New York Medical College in 1993, completed his residency in 1996 at the University of Vermont Medical Center, and his fellowship in 1999 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
