The Rheumatology Department at Bend Memorial Clinic specializes in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal diseases. This involves disorders of joint, muscle and bone with particular emphasis on:

  • Autoimmune disease
  • Arthritis
  • Osteoporosis

We offer comprehensive rheumatology services including biologic modifier infusions, chronic disease modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD) monitoring,joint / soft tissue / bursa injections and musculoskeletal  ultrasound.

We are the densitometry center for Central and Eastern Oregon and a center for clinical research. We are an integral part of the newly formed Mid-Oregon Osteoporosis Network. It is our desire to provide not only high quality consultative services, but also excellent ongoing rheumatologic care and service for our long-term patients.

Greg Borstad

Greg Borstad, MD

Greg Borstad, M.D. specializes in rheumatology for adults. Dr. Borstad comes to BMC from private practice in Palestine, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin and Medical Degree from University of North Dakota School of Medicine.  Dr. Borstad completed his Internal Medicine internship, his IM residency and his Rheumatology fellowship in San Antonio at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. He also completed medical acupuncture training at UCLA School of Medicine with the Helms Medical Institute. Borstad moves to the area with his wife and two children and looks forward to being part of the community.
