What Are Spider Veins?
Spider veins are veins that appear close to the surface of the skin. They appear in a group looking like a spider web or tree. Spider veins are similar to varicose veins, which may be caused by weakened valves inside the vein allowing a build up of blood rather than traveling back to the heart.
