Dr. Elizabeth Chandy attended medical school at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she also performed her fellowship in Cardiology Clinical Research and general Cardiology. Dr. Chandy is board- certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Chandy works to ensure that every patient leaves her office feeling educated about their condition and empowered to achieve their health goals. She strives to make each of her patients feel as though their health and well-being is being respected and being treated to the best of her ability. She meticulously reads up on patient’s charts prior to their visit so that she can improve their medical documentation and gain a comprehensive understanding of the current state of their health. Her areas of special interest include coronary artery disease and preventative Cardiology.
When Dr. Chandy is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, being involved in church outreach programs, hiking and broadening her cooking skills. Additionally, she enjoys nature and photographing her experiences. Dr. Chandy is also very interested in assisting under-served populations with a particular focus on feeding the homeless and providing care and resources to foster children.
