Kristina E. Jackson, DO is a board certified member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from Lees-McRae College and completed medical school at the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA. She completed her residency training at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Before joining our team, she worked as a team physician for the SLC Moose (a Tier 3A hockey team), was a lead coach for the Summit Bicycle Club (USA Cycling’s 2015 Mountain Bike Club of the Year) and volunteered for various local cycling, skiing, and high school sporting events.
Dr. Jackson grew up in the Lake Tahoe region and at the age of 12 began mountain bike racing. By 18, she was racing at a professional level and went on to be a member of five team collegiate national championship titles before going on to medical school. Kristi still enjoys racing when she can and helping riders of all ages adopt cycling as a lifestyle.
Her interests include ski injuries, sports medicine, minor surgical procedures and acute care. In her free time, Dr. Jackson enjoys cycling, cross country skiing and traveling with her husband.
