Lacey Sheppard, LCSW

Lacey Sheppard, LCSW, is a member of Summit Medical Group Oregon’s Behavioral Health department. Ms. Sheppard earned her Master of Social Work from Baylor University, TX and her Bachelor of Social Work from George Fox University, OR. She is licensed with the Oregon Board of Licensed Clinical Social Workers and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.  She works with patients with various health issues including depression, anxiety, substance cessation, suicide ideation, diabetes, sleep difficulties, diet and exercise management, grief and loss, relationship conflict, adjusting to a chronic health conditions, stress, and pain management.

Lacey is devoted to providing effective behavioral health services as she partners with patients to improve functioning and enhance quality of life. She enjoys working with patients on skills to engage in symptom reduction and how to better manage their health concerns.

She has experience working with patients from young children to older adults. Lacey is trained in a variety of brief counseling techniques including acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapies, and motivational interviewing. She is a certified Trauma-Informed Care trainer and has this approach embedded into her practice. She has extensive training in suicide risk assessment, prevention, and safety planning. She is LGBTQ friendly and competently trained in gender dysphoria assessment.

When not seeing patients, Lacey enjoys being outside in nature and spending time with her spouse, two sons, extended family and close friends. She also enjoys running, water skiing, hiking, playing soccer, and camping.
