Nora V. Takla, MD

Dr. Nora Takla obtained her undergraduate degree in Economics and German Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Takla was awarded her Doctor of Medicine from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia and completed her residency in urology at the University of Utah Medical School.

Dr. Takla enjoys the social interactions she has and the relationships she is able to form with her patients in the clinic as well as the challenges of solving problems in the operating room. Dr. Takla asserts, “I love the diversity of patients and problems in urology. I can see a 9-year-old and a 99-year-old in the same day. I treat chronic conditions and get to help patients improve their condition through education, behavior modification, medications and non-invasive therapies. I also have the opportunity to fix problems with surgery.”

Although Dr. Takla enjoys general urology, she has special interest in treating kidney stones and pediatric patients with urological problems.

When she’s not in the office, she enjoys downhill skiing and hiking.
